Kayla's Baptism announcement

When I last posted I forgot to add a copy of Kayla's baptism announcement. My friend took her pictures and this was one of many of my favorites. I blocked out the church address so that is why there is the huge white eyesore on it . Enjoy!!

Month at a glance

Here I go again! It seems just when I get in the "blogging groove", life gets in the way. I guess that is good because then I have a lot of photos to post. Unfortunately, they are usually outdated by the time I post them. So I will just post some with quick captions. To update everyone with what has been going on in the Contino household.

My cute nephew Russell and me

Jordan was playing in 2 basketball leagues this winter - Open Court (now the Factory) and AF city league. He had a ton of fun and although I love going to the games, it was exhausting (for me anyway). His Open Court leauge didn't go very far in the play-offs, but his city league took 1st place! He worked his butt off and would come home exhausted and covered with bruises all over. He didn't seem to mind though. Except at the end of one game he got hit by an intentional foul that knocked him down pretty hard. He lost his temper and bounced the ball at the kid. Yeah, I got after him for that one. :) The ref did too and he got a technical. Luckily, it didn't affect the outcome of the game. That's when I tell Ang he takes after him, ha ha.
Bryson, Melissa, and grandpa came to watch him at his championship game.
McKayla and Morgan are the best of friends. I came home late one night to see this. They are so sweet.

McKalya Turns 8

During all of Jordan's basketball game madness was McKayla's birthday. This year was extra special because she turned 8.

On her birthday we came home from a game to find our friends had brought Kayla some "fries". That's what she thought until she ate one and realized it was actually cake. Very cute!!

She wanted to take a few friends to Build-a-Bear for her party.

"Stuff that bear" they all yelled through the store ha ha.

A couple of weeks ago, McKayla was able to be baptised. It was her and another little girl in our ward. It was such a wonderful baptism. She was just glowing that day and she had tears in her eyes as she sat there. It is so special to these sweet innocent spirits and how close they are to our Heavenly Father.

After, dad gave McKayla a statue of Christ that my mom had bought for her. When mom was in the hospital before she died, she told me that she had purchased one for Kayla and Morgan for when they got baptised. She was always prepared. My dad and I searched one day where she told me she stored them. We finally found them and my dad gave it to her on her baptism and told her it was from grandma. How special.
Family at our house

And at lunch after Kayla's baptism.

We've been to dance competitions

track meets

and puppet shows.

We have also been to Easter egg hunts.

The calm.....

Before the storm.

Colored eggs.....can you guess who's is who's

Took a polarbear plunge looking for $ in Easter eggs

And a not so welcome plunge from a cousin.

Got a little sugar rush with our pies.

Jord has spring fever really bad and convinced Ang to sleep out on the tramp one night. What a good dad.

Also I have been looking for a really cool message/magnet board... and found one!
