UEA vacation

This year over UEA we decided to take a vacation to Disney World/Disney Cruise. We had such a great time We stayed in Disney World for 5 days. While there we were able to visit all of the parks and do some fun activities such as attend a Halloween party at Magic Kingdom. The park is transformed into a fun halloween event. Almost everyone comes dressed up and can go trick or treating around the park. They have a Halloween parade and fireworks.

We were also able to get reservations at Cinderella's castle for breakfast. Mind you, this was no easy task! I had been calling for months to see if there were any cancellations and I about fainted when one day they told me there was and for 6 people! All of the princesses came to our table while we were eating breakfast. I don't know why Jord doesn't smile when he is standing next to a beauty like Cinderella......



Jordan had a funny experience with the sword and the stone. People were trying with no avail to pull the sword from the stone. I thought it would be a fun Kodak moment imagine his surprise when the sword came out! One of the workers came over and made a big scene and gave Jord a certificate for King for a day. It really did turn out to be a Kodak moment.

Next we went on the disney cruise for 3 days. The kids had so much fun it was hard to keep track of where the older ones were all of the time.

Kayla's friend

Children always seem to amaze me with how innocent and loving they are. They are never judgmental about how someone may look or be different from others they just love everyone. It can really make me emotional if I think about it. If only adults could be so childlike wouldn't this world be such a wonderful place?

When McKayla went to school this year she kept telling about her best friend in class. Then one day she was talking about her and mentioned she didn't have hair because she was sick. I soon found out this sweet little girl has inoperable brain tumors and has undergone several different treatments to help her. Lately, she has responded to an experimental drug that seems to have some effect. She is able to go to school but her mother needs to come with her so she doesn't get hurt. She is the sweetest little girl and I am so glad her and McKayla are friends. Recently the school had a fundraiser to help raise money for her family because their insurance won't cover the cost of the experimental drug and it is very expensive. My favorite time of year

Fall is by far my favorite time of year. I looked out the window the other day and saw the most beautiful image of the mountains I love with some new snow and the leaves starting to turn. Of course since this shot the leaves have changed even more and it is more beautiful, but do you really think I have retaken the shot, when I can't update my blog for 2 mos? ha ha

Fashion Diva

Mo just cracks me up! She is very independent and wants to do everything herself, including getting dressed. You never quite know what ensemble she is going to come up with next. This is just a sampling of the outfits she has put together recently. It isn't worth the fight when we go out in public. I choose my battles carefully. I get some cute looks from people who realize she has meticulously picked out her clothes herself. The funniest is when they tell her how beautiful her outfit looks. Just adding fuel to the fire! :)

Kam's b-day

Kamryn celebrated her 11th birthday the end of Sept. (yes I know I am sooooo far behind). Anyway, she had a great time with her friends. She swam, had a pinata, popcorn, snowcones and of course cake. The weather was a little chilly with the wind, but no one seemed to mind.

Mo is in preschool

OK, so I am making another catch -up post. Those seem to happen a lot lately. Since I last posted I mentioned Mo was getting ready for preschool. I just have to post her first school day photo. She absolutely loves school and her teacher who is just wonderful. I do have to admit that I still have a little heartache when I drop her off (it has been 2 months). She will ask me if I will miss her and of course I tell her I always do. It is nice to be able to have 2 hours to get much needed things accomplished, but what's a mom suppose to think when her baby is old enough to go off to school?
