Graduation day

Well, today has finally arrived. Jordan has now officially graduated from the 6th grade!! My little guy is turning into quite a young man. With him being the oldest it is a little hard for me to see him leave elementary school and move on to Junior High. For him, it can't be soon enough. I could cry, he is just growing
up way too fast. Here are
pictures of some of his friends and the graduation ceremony. He really is excited about this, ha ha.

Lemonade anyone????

The kids had their first 'official' lemonade stand of the year. They can't wait to get out of school and have summer begin. They were real entrepreneurs. They started at 11 am and I had to drag them in at 5pm! It was a fun day.

Race for the Cure

Over Mother's Day weekend we had the opportunity to be a part of a very special event. As most of you know, my mom passed away with cancer in 2006. I felt so helpless, knowing that I couldn't do anything to help cure her of this terrible disease. So, I decided in her honor to run in the Race for the Cure. Maybe, by doing my small part, some day there will be a cure for this disease.


It started out I was going to do it alone. Then Angelo decided he wanted to run also. I asked the kids and they were very excited to be a part of something so special. So, we laced up our shoes and ran for mom. I was told there were over 16,000 people involved in the race. People were packed in the road as far as I could see.


Some raced in memory of a loved one. Some raced to celebrate someone who has fought this disease and won. I loved the slogan on the t-shirts, it read
"Today, we will fight a bully." What better way could there be to explain it?







I plan on making this an annual tradition.

Tulip Festival

Recently our family attended the annual Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. Me along with the girls had been looking forward to this for some time. Angelo and Jordan on the other hand weren't quite as enthusiastic about the whole idea. But, they were good sports.
The grounds were very beautiful. McKayla wanted to pose by every flower for a picture. Though,some of the tulips met their demise with Morgan. She didn't see a flower she didn't like. A 2 yr-old just doesn't understand that certain flowers shouldn't be picked. Luckily only a couple got pulled. After replanting the bulb hopefully no harm done!
